Our gym is well suited to weightlifting, containing 9 lifting platforms and Olympic standard barbells for both males and females. Our coaches have many years of experience, not only in training in the gym but also in lifting competitions. If competing is the route you’d like to take, they will be able to prepare you and be there with you on competition days.


Barbell Club runs high quality training programs which is designed to increase strength, flexibility, technique and focus in your lifts. Every element of the program can be adjusted to your level, no matter where you are, and if you need any extra help one of the coaches can become your dedicated trainer.

Tom Morrison

Both Tom and Maciej are British Weightlifting Level 2 qualified coaches and have trained a wide range of people from complete beginners to members of the Northern Ireland weightlifting team. Their ability to quickly identify areas of weakness and give quick, easy to follow corrections and exercises makes their coaching ability second to none. They have worked with the best coaches from Northern Ireland and from around the world to bring you the best of the best in your own training.
